Waste Management in Atonsu, Kumasi
A machine-learning-augmented preprint built on an original 2022 field study of improper waste disposal and segregation in Atonsu, Kumasi. The work combines a Random Forest model predicting illness outcomes from disposal method and demographics with a MobileNetV2 image classifier for automated waste sorting, trained and evaluated on real survey and image data. Code and notebooks are published on GitHub.

FarmDirect
A data-driven, farmer-to-buyer marketplace built to cut out middlemen and give farmers fairer prices. As founder and lead developer, I’m building a pricing and optimization model on real Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA/SRID) commodity price data, alongside a multi-agent, game-theoretic simulation of market behavior. The project is developed in collaboration with researchers at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission on supply-chain and environmental data integration.

Nosocomial Infection Prevention
A cross-sectional study assessing knowledge of nosocomial infections and compliance with standard precautions among third-year nursing and midwifery students at KNUST, Ghana. Co-authored with researchers from KNUST’s Department of Nursing, published as a preprint on medRxiv, with findings also presented as a poster at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

AI Safety & Alignment
My emerging research direction, motivated by the applied and theoretical work above: how to design algorithmic systems that remain reliable under uncertainty, human behavior, and fairness constraints.
